Vision Statement
“Our vision for the Stellat’en Head Start Program is to provide a safe, comfortable, healthy learning environment that is culturally based and supported by the whole community. We instill in our children a lifetime of learning, respect for themselves, others, elders, and the land.”
Head Start Program
The Stellat’en Head Start program has been in operation since 2004 and is funded through First Nations Health Authority. The program is offered to children and families (ages 0-6) living in the community of Stellaquo and surrounding areas.
The Stellat’en Head Start Program is designed with the 6 components of Head Start on reserve to support:
- Language and Culture,
- Education,
- Health Promotion,
- Social Supports,
- Nutrition and
- Parent and Family Involvement

Preschool Hours: Monday to Thursday 9:00 – 11:45
