Post Secondary Student Support Program – The Stellat’en First Nation manages a post secondary education program, which is funded by Indian and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC). INAC determines the amount of funding on a per-capita-basis. The funding provides the post secondary program with a fixed budget used to provide financial assistance to a limited number of members enrolled in university and college programs. The post secondary program was established to support, promote and enhance academic achievement among members of the Stellat’en First Nation. The program’s purpose to ensure those Stellat’en members who wish to continue their education at a university or college level are provided an opportunity through the post secondary program.
